Ashley + Eric Washington DC Maternity Session - Merdian Hill Park

I had the opportunity to photograph such a meaningful maternity session for couple Ashley and Eric! Not only are they expecting, but their first bundle of joy will also be a boy. A little prince in the making and I had the honor of capturing their lovely maternity photos! 

Believe it or not, Ashley was the reluctant one about having a photo session given COVID and the pandemic but she was grateful to have gone through with it and capture this special moment in their lives. Eric, however, wasn’t your typical standoffish guy when it comes to being in front of the camera. He wasn’t camera shy at all. He totally worked it and for me, it’s rare to not chase the guy down to cooperate with me and the camera. Eric was totally on board, very active, giving all the angles and thought this was his GQ moment in the session to shine brighter than the stars because he’s having a prince for his firstborn child. 

Ashley and Eric totally compliment each other and you can feel the love in every shot. The glimmer in his eyes when he looks at his natural hair melanin queen and how amazed he is at the wonderful creation they’ve created from their love. Overall, we had an amazing time creating some great memories for this blooming couple who will be welcoming their little prince charming soon.
